Wife of Country Singer Jason Aldean Shamed on Insta. Says “Unfollow Me.”
If you or I go on vacation with our spouse, it’s not likely we’d expect to be publicly shamed for being bad parents for leaving our kids for a few days. But, when you’re the wife of a popular country singer, apparently you’re fair game for that kind of thing. At least that’s what some of Brittany Aldean’s Instagram followers thought.
Brittany and Jason Aldean welcomed a son, Memphis, on December 4th. More than two wonderful (and likely sleep-deprived) months later, they decided to take a short getaway together. Brittany shared this post on Instagram showing her in her airplane seat with a little picture of her baby along for the ride. “Haven’t even left Nashville and I miss him so much it hurts,” she shared.
One commenter said “I wouldn’t want to miss a blink of his eye, or one facial expression. I don’t know how a pic is sufficient.” Another chimed in that the photo was staged and that Aldean was “trying to make it look like she cares.” Wow.
Undeterred by the Mom-Shamers, Brittany next shared a picture with her husband. Her original comment with the post said simply “My man looks gooooooood!”
Apparently, it wasn’t long before internet trolls took opportunity to be annoyed by Jason Aldean’s attire. So, Brittany returned to Instagram to edit her post to include “(For all those who want him in cowboys boots and camo… go see him in concert).”
Clearly, enough was enough for Brittany. The next post she shared was a happy beach picture with Jason. The caption really said it all. “Much needed vacay. Just a word of wisdom for all the parent shamers… vacations are ok for new parents to take. Sometimes after being pregnant for almost a year, cooped up in a house for weeks at a time, you need a little sunshine and adult time. IT IS NOT OK to leave your ignorant comments. If you don’t agree with something, PLEASE… do me a favor and unfollow me. You will NOT be missed. And for all the sweet, positive, happy people… we love you and thank you!!”
You go, Mrs. Aldean. Enjoy your vacation! And you can just look forward to returning home to your sweet boy, refreshed and recharged.
