Shoe Tying in the Third-Trimester of Pregnancy? Not a One-Woman Job.
Ok, so admit it, ladies. At some point during the last few weeks of pregnancy, that shiny, happy pregnant feeling wears off a little. And then comes those days when you feel roughly 9,000 lbs, can’t get comfortable (ever) and the once-simple tasks seem impossible. Like, for example, tying your shoes. Right?
So, when singer and Mom-to-be Carrie Underwood posted this sweet video on Instagram recently, it’s no surprise that Moms all over the world connected with it.
“I can no longer tie my own shoes,” Underwood shared in her caption under the video of her husband, Mike Fisher, tying one sneaker while her son Isaiah (3) attempted to tie the other. “So glad I have such sweet helpers!”
And “attempted” is the right term for Isaiah’s tying, too! He proclaims that he wants to tie Mom’s sparkly shoes the “cool way.” Mom Carrie replies: “You’re doing a good job, buddy. Let Daddy fix it a little bit . . . if you do it too cool, I can’t get it off later. Daddy will fix it.”
Haha! And it was perhaps Isaiah’s final words on the video that we know all too well…right Moms?
“Nooooooo. I can’t do it.”
Patience is a virtue. Especially when you’re nine months pregnant!
