Jamie Foxx heard a loud crash outside his home in California, and rushed outside to find a truck had flipped and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle, which was already on fire. With the help of another person, they were able to pull the driver from the truck just seconds from it being completely engulfed in flames.

The driver was 32-year-old Brett Kyle. Kyle escaped with only a broken collarbone and punctured lung. According to KABC-TV, he was believed to have been driving under the influence when the crash took place.

In an emotional meeting, the father of the man he saved from the burning car can be seen embracing Foxx and thanking him for saving his son’s life. Foxx then shared the photo on Instagram with the caption, “Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother’s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.”
